So, what did SKD learn today?

1) Apparently, our message was pretty popular.

You never really know what to expect when you go “loud & proud”, but we were heartened to see that our sentiment resonated with our community.

SKD was started in NY.
SKD was at Ground Zero.
SKD was pleased by Bin Laden’s demise.
Fuck that Oxygen Thief.
AMERICA!

2) Big sales mean big logistics.

We had 2000+ orders in the first 24 hours of “SUCKIT”, and the orders keep rolling in. Now, we are scrambling to fill all the orders and not implode in the process. We have the best warehouse crew in the business- Hard, Pipe Hittin’ Ninjas- but when you have to deal with exponentially higher order volume, the temper of your blade is put to the test. We have all hands on deck trying to accomplish this mission- we don't have much time for anything else at the moment. We are re-sharpening blades now.

3) Some things are bigger than the almighty dollar.

After a few shots of Scottish group-tightener, the decision to go 25% was made. In this cut-throat retail market, a 15% discount means you make a buck here, you lose a buck there. At 25% off our already low prices, we knew there was no way we could break even on this promotion, but it was a decision we made with a smile, and we don’t regret it. It was a national celebration- long overdue- and we were going to CELEBRATE!

4) No good deed goes unpunished.

We decide to subsidize peoples' tactical gear collections in celebration of Osama’s death- I mean literally pay folks to take gear home- and there are some out there who try and kick you in the teeth. Whether it’s anger oversomething not being in stock for them, or anger over just having placed an order before the discount, it is misguided. At the end of the day, this celebration & promotion is not an entitlement for any individual, nor is a conspiracy against any individual. If you were angry for any reason, please understand, this is not about you.

It’s so bright, so vivid…. What does it mean?

So with that being said, we have to clarify the following points regarding orders placed prior, during and following the “SUCKIT” promotion. These are measures that we must institute to ensure that SKD is still around when the dust settles to provide you with the service you’ve come to expect from us. Here it is:

The SKD Shipping Guarantee is suspended indefinitely- this will ensure that our Warehouse Ninjas will have time to Kill, regroup, perform weapons maintenance, and Kill again. Once we are caught up, our Shipping Guarantee will be reinstated.

No Change Order requests. Due to the extenuating circumstances, in order to have any chance at completing orders before the end of the world in 2012, we will not be able to modify your order once it has been placed. If you are not happy with your order, you always have the option of cancelling your order.

We cannot offer rain checks, or apply “SUCKIT” retroactively. Everyone has the same opportunity to see details on the discount code on our website, forums or our Facebook site. If you didn't happen to see it, while unfortunate, we just don’t have the time to chase down every order like this. You always have the option to cancel your order.

Email Comms will experience interruptions. We are sorry if you didn't hear back from us- unfortunately, when you have 2000+ orders hit in 24 hours, you end up with HUNDREDS of emails, MOST of which will unfortunately go unanswered while we work around the clock to ship these orders. If you have a technical question on products, you should receive a reply within 24- 48 hours.

Free Shipping for the rest of the year happens after the 15% discount ends, and not simultaneously.

We really hope this addresses all the questions we have had. If you still have outstanding issues, you’ll just have to figure it out for yourself or let it go- there, I said it. We’re going to be in over our heads for the foreseeable future climbing out of this hole we put ourselves in.
